1. Four new Supreme Court judges were sworn in, raising the number of judges to the full sanctioned strength of 31.  Justices Aniruddha Bose, AS Bopanna, Bhushan Ramkrishna Gavai and Surya Kant were administered the oath of office by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi.
चार नवीन सर्वोच्च न्यायालयाच्या न्यायाधीशांनी शपथ घेतली आणि एकूण न्यायाधीशांची संख्या 31 झाली आहे. न्यायमूर्ती अनिरुद्ध बोस, एएस बोपन्ना, भूषण रामकृष्ण गावई आणि सूर्यकांत यांना मुख्य न्यायाधीश रंजन गोगोई यांनी शपथ दिली.

2. Japanese technology giant Sony has revealed it will stop selling its smartphones in several countries including India. Sony added it presently considers Japan, Europe, Taiwan and Hong Kong as the “focus regions” — to drive profit for the smartphone business.
जपानी तंत्रज्ञान कंपनी सोनीने भारतासह अनेक देशांमध्ये त्याचे स्मार्टफोन विक्री करणे थांबविण्याचे जाहीर केले आहे. सोनीने स्मार्टफोन व्यवसायासाठी नफा कमावण्यासाठी – सध्या जपान, युरोप, तैवान आणि हाँगकाँगला “फोकस क्षेत्र” म्हणून विचारात घेतले आहे.

3. SpaceX successfully launches, deploys 60 internet satellites.
स्पेसएक्सने यशस्वीरित्या 60 इंटरनेट उपग्रह अंतराळात सोडले आहेत.

4. WhatsApp Status will start displaying ads from 2020, the messaging platform’s parent firm Facebook has confirmed.
व्हाट्सएपची स्टेटस 2020 पासून जाहिराती प्रदर्शित करण्यास प्रारंभ करेल, संदेशन प्लॅटफॉर्मच्या पालक कंपनीने फेसबुकने पुष्टी केली आहे.

5. Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone signed an agreement to develop and operate a container terminal at Yangon Port in Myanmar.
अदानी पोर्ट्स आणि स्पेशल इकोनॉमिक झोनने म्यानमारमधील यॅगन पोर्ट येथे कंटेनर टर्मिनल विकसित आणि ऑपरेट करण्यासाठी एक करार केला आहे.

6. Google bans 2nd largest phone maker Huawei from some Android updates.
काही Android अद्यतनांमधून Google ने द्वितीय सर्वात मोठ्या फोन निर्माता Huawei ला प्रतिबंधित केले आहे.

7. The Delhi High Court has ruled that the United Nations is not a State under Article 12 of the Constitution of India and is not amenable to its jurisdiction under Article 226 of the Constitution.
संविधानाच्या अनुच्छेद 12 अंतर्गत संयुक्त राष्ट्रसंघ हे राज्य अस्तित्त्वात नाही आणि  संविधानाचा कलम 226 त्याच्या अधिकार क्षेत्रासाठी जबाबदार नाही असे दिल्ली उच्च न्यायालयाने विधान केले आहे.

8. Vice President of India, M. Venkaiah Naidu has called for protecting Ongole cattle breed on May 20, 2019. Vice President Venkaiah Naidu released a compendium on Ongole breed of cattle at Vijayawada recently. He also stressed that cattle wealth was national wealth.
भारताचे उपराष्ट्रपती एम. वेंकय्या नायडू यांनी 20 मे 2019 रोजी ओंगोल मवेशींचे संरक्षण करण्यासाठी आवाहन केले आहे. उपराष्ट्रपती वेंकय्या नायडू यांनी अलीकडेच विजयवाडा येथे गोवंश ओन्गोले जातीवर एक सारांश प्रकाशित केला. जनावरांची संपत्ती ही राष्ट्रीय संपत्ती असल्याचे त्यांनी यावर भर दिला.

9. The Committee of Administrators(CoA) announced that the much-awaited elections for a new body of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will be held on October 22.
प्रशासनाच्या समितीने (CoA) जाहीर केले की, भारतीय क्रिकेट नियामक मंडळाच्या (BCCI) नवीन मंडळाच्या निवडणुका 22 ऑक्टोबर रोजी होणार आहेत.

10. Filmmaker and Film Historian Vijaya Mulay Passed Away. She was 98. Vijaya Mulay is best known for her 1974 film Ek Anek Aur Ekta, which won the National Film Award for Best Educational Film.
चित्रपट निर्माती आणि चित्रपट इतिहासकार विजया मुलाय यांचे निधन झाले आहे. त्या 98 वर्षांच्या होत्या. त्यांना 1974 मध्ये ‘एक ऐनक और एकता’ या चित्रपटासाठी सर्वोत्कृष्ट शैक्षणिक चित्रपटासाठी राष्ट्रीय चित्रपट पुरस्कार मिळाला होता.
