2. PM Modi addressed the third session of Saudi Arabia’s Future Investment Initiative Forum.He talked about India’s economy, its challenges and opportunities for equitable growth and prosperity.

4. Indian Railways (IR) has introduced a new one-time password (OTP) based refund system for e-tickets booked through authorized railway ticketing agents. This new method will be implemented by the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC). The new plan is applicable to those who booked the tickets through 1.7 lakh authorized agents.
भारतीय रेल्वेने (आयआर) अधिकृत रेल्वे तिकीट एजंटांद्वारे बुक केलेल्या ई-तिकिटांसाठी नवीन OTP आधारित परतावा प्रणाली सुरू केली आहे. ही नवीन पद्धत भारतीय रेल्वे केटरिंग अँड टुरिझम कॉर्पोरेशन (IRCTC) राबवेल. 1.7 लाख अधिकृत एजंटमार्फत ज्यांनी तिकीट बुक केले त्यांच्यासाठी ही नवीन योजना लागू आहे.

5. Argentine diplomat Rafael Grossi was appointed to succeed late Yukiya Amano as the new director-general of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), a United Nations’ nuclear watchdog.

8. Lebanon’s Prime Minister Saad Hariri submitted his resignation on 29 October. The move comes after his efforts to resolve a crisis unleashed by huge protests against Lebanon’s ruling elite.
