1. India has traditionally supported United Nations peacekeeping deployments. This dedication has been highlighted by recent events in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). Following the unfortunate deaths of peacekeepers, UN authorities thanked India for its services. India has sent a large number of military and police people to different missions, demonstrating its commitment to world peace.

भारताने पारंपारिकपणे संयुक्त राष्ट्रांच्या शांतता तैनातीला पाठिंबा दिला आहे. काँगोच्या लोकशाही प्रजासत्ताक (डीआरसी) मधील अलिकडच्या घटनांमुळे हे समर्पण अधोरेखित झाले आहे. शांती सैनिकांच्या दुर्दैवी मृत्यूनंतर, संयुक्त राष्ट्रांच्या अधिकाऱ्यांनी भारताच्या सेवेबद्दल आभार मानले. जागतिक शांततेसाठी आपली वचनबद्धता दर्शवून भारताने विविध मोहिमांमध्ये मोठ्या संख्येने लष्करी आणि पोलिस कर्मचारी पाठवले आहेत.
2. The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has voiced grave worry over the possible escape of Ebola samples from a laboratory in Goma, Democratic Republic of Congo. 1. India’s digital payment environment has seen a significant transformation because to the United Payments Interface (UPI). UPI was responsible for 83% of India’s total payment volume by the end of 2024. Compared to 34% in 2019, this is an increase.

5. A glacier lake outburst deluge caused calamitous damage to the Teesta-3 dam in Sikkim. It is scheduled for reconstruction. The deluge caused the devastation of infrastructure and the loss of life. The spillway of this new structure will be wholly composed of concrete and will be capable of accommodating increasing water flow.

4. Changes to the Goods and Services Tax (GST) framework in India have been recently implemented by the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC). These modifications encompass the implementation of a Temporary Identification Number (TIN) for enterprises that are exempt from mandatory registration. The objective of this action is to simplify tax compliance and expedite payments under the GST regime. The CBIC has also announced a waiver of excess late fees for the financial years 2017-18 to 2022-23 in relation to annual returns.

2. The Supreme Court (SC) suggested that retired judges be appointed on an ad hoc (as required) basis to alleviate the growing congestion of pending criminal cases before multiple High Courts. The current data indicates that the total storage capacity of 155 main reservoirs has decreased to 66% of their total capacity. This situation raises concerns regarding the availability of water for a variety of sectors.

Banks have also experienced a decline in their recovery rates through the IBC. The IBC’s future function in the financial landscape is called into doubt by this change.
