1. The Cabinet approved Universities (Amendment) Bill, 2018, to set up Central University in Andhra Pradesh. Minister Prakash Javadekar tweeted that the Central University of Andhra Pradesh will start its academic session on 5th August. Also, this will result in more facilities for Andhra Pradesh in higher education.
केंद्रीय मंत्रिमंडळाने आंध्रप्रदेशमधील केंद्रीय विद्यापीठाची स्थापना करण्यासाठी विद्यापीठ (संशोधन) विधेयक 2018 मंजूर केले. केंद्रीय मंत्री प्रकाश जावडेकर यांनी ट्विट केले की, आंध्र प्रदेशाच्या केंद्रीय विद्यापीठात 5 ऑगस्ट रोजी शैक्षणिक सत्र सुरू होईल. तसेच, यामुळे आंध्र प्रदेश उच्च शिक्षणासाठी अधिक सुविधा मिळतील.

2. The Airports Authority of India (AAI) is prepared to take the construction of the proposed Greenfield Airport at Bhogapuram. In the past, the Government of Andhra Pradesh had cancelled the tender called for the construction of Bhogapuram Airport. The AAI has now expressed its interest to develop the airport in the fresh bids.

10. According to International Monetary Fund (IMF), India’s Gross Domestic Product Growth Rate is expected to 7.3 % in the Financial Year 2018-19.

1. According to data speed tester Ookla, India ranks 109th in overall 4G mobile internet speeds with an average download speed of 9.12 Mbps which is less than Pakistan (14.03 Mbps). Out of the list comprising 124 countries, Qatar ranked first in the list with 63.22 Mbps average download speed. Norway stood second in the list with 62.14 Mbps download speed.
डेटा स्पीड टेस्टर ओकला यांच्या मते, भारताला एकूण 4 जी मोबाईल इंटरनेट स्पीडमध्ये 109 वा क्रमांक मिळाला आहे. सरासरी डाउनलोड स्पीड 9.12 एमबीपीएस आहे जो पाकिस्तानपेक्षा कमी आहे (14.03 एमबीपीएस). यादीमध्ये 124 देशांचा समावेश आहे, तर 63.22 एमबीपीएस सरासरी डाउनलोड स्पीडसह कतार प्रथम क्रमांकावर आहे. नॉर्वे 62.14 एमबीपीएस डाऊनलोडची गतीसह दुसऱ्या स्थानावर आहे.

2. The Health Ministry has clarified it’s not mandatory for beneficiaries to submit Aadhaar details for seeking ₹5-lakh health insurance under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, dubbed as ‘Modicare’.

1. Union Minister for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Dharmendra Pradhan announced that the Centre is planning to set up one National Skill Training Institute (NSTI) in every State to meet the rising demand for skilled manpower in the country. He laid the foundation stone of country’s first such skill training institute at Barang near Bhubaneswar.

1. YouTube invests 25 million dollar to fight fake news. The investment is part of the $300 million Google News Initiative which was launched earlier this year in March, to help the media and to deal with fake news.

बनावट बातमींशी लढण्यासाठी YouTube ने 25 दशलक्ष डॉलर्स गुंतवले आहेत. ही गुंतवणूक 300 दशलक्षांहून अधिक Google News उपक्रमाचा एक भाग आहे, मिडियाला मदत करण्याच्या आणि बनावट बातम्या हाताळण्याकरिता मार्चच्या सुरुवातीला लाँच करण्यात आले आहे.
