5. More than 600,000 Japanese people over 40 are living in complete isolation from society, staying at home for more than six months without social interaction. The International Energy Agency (IEA) report on Carbon dioxide emissions said that India emitted 2,299 million tonnes of carbon dioxide in 2018.The rate of growth of carbon dioxide emission in India was higher than that of the United States and China which are the two biggest emitters in the world.

A study by Indian Institute of Technology- Kharagpur said over sustaining food production and productivity of major crops like wheat, paddy, and maize due to the increasing levels of carbon dioxide. Studies have shown that even though increased carbon dioxide levels stimulate wheat productivity, the consequent rise in temperatures would have a negative impact.

State-owned Power Finance Corporation (PFC) will acquire the entire 52.63 per cent shares of the government in REC for Rs 14,500 crore by the month-end, a move that will help the centre to meet its disinvestment target. REC Limited is a public Infrastructure Finance Company in India’s power sector.
सरकारी मालकीच्या पॉवर फायनान्स कॉर्पोरेशन (पीएफसी) आरईसीमध्ये सरकारच्या एकूण 52.63 टक्के शेअर्सची विक्री महिन्याच्या अखेरीस 14,500 कोटी रुपयांपर्यंत वाढेल, यामुळे केंद्र आपले विनिमिती लक्ष्य पूर्ण करण्यास मदत करेल. आरईसी लिमिटेड भारतातील वीज क्षेत्रातील सार्वजनिक इन्फ्रास्ट्रक्चर फायनान्स कंपनी आहे.

7. Brazilian physicist and astronomer Marcelo Gleiser (60) was awarded 2019 Templeton Prize worth $1.4 million for his work on blending science and spirituality.

10. Captain Mohan Narayan Rao Samant of the Indian Navy, a 1971 India-Pakistan war hero, who was honoured by Bangladesh as a ‘Friend of Liberation War’, has passed away at the age of 89.
