1. Recent Israeli efforts against the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) have sharpened the already existing humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza. Ian Martin, a British human rights campaigner, has been chosen by the UN to provide a strategic assessment of UNRWA’s activities. Under present political and budgetary limits, this study seeks to evaluate the agency’s efficiency. Millions of Palestinian refugees depend on UNRWA, which keeps offering vital services even though Israel forbids UNRWA operations inside her borders.

5. Recent research point to a serious air quality issue in some of the big Indian cities. From 2021 to 2024, the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) said that particulate matter (PM10) levels regularly surpass national safety criteria. At 60µg/m³ the National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) define the permissible limit for PM10. Cities including Delhi, Patna, and Lucknow, however, noted values over 200µg/m³. Among the health hazards this pollution causes include hospitalization and respiratory problems.

1. Thirty Indian Institute of Science (IISc) researchers recently proposed the creation of the tiniest semiconductors in the world. This campaign seeks to establish India as a semiconductor technology leader. The suggested chips will make use of two-dimensional (2D) materials like transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) and graphene. One angstrom, smaller than the three nanometers used in manufacturing now, these circuits could measure. To establish indigenous semiconductor technology, the initiative calls for an expenditure of Rs 500 crore spread over five years.

5. Recent developments in microbiome study have exposed Methanobrevibacter intestini, a hitherto unidentified species of methane-producing archaea. This finding advances knowledge of the intricate relationships among humans and their microbiomes. The results appeared in the International Journal of Systematic and Evolutionary Microbiology.
