| 4. Bangladesh signed an agreement for a concessional loan of $335.78 million from China’s Export-Import Bank for the expansion and modernization of Mongla Port on 10 October 2026. The loan is equivalent to Tk 3,592.8975 crore or RMB 2.404bn. | 1. Veteran actor Nana Patekar died after suffering a massive cardiac arrest, aged 75, on 8 October 2026. He was found unconscious at his residence in Dona Paula in Goa and rushed to the Manipal Hospital where doctors tried to revive him through cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for 45 minutes. | 4. The University of Colorado Denver (CU Denver) has got a Letter of Intent (LoI) from the University Grants Commission (UGC) for setting up a degree-granting campus in Hyderabad. The announcement was made on October 6th-7th 2026.
