1. The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) said to the Delhi High Court that identifying the unidentified body with the biometrics is technically not possible. The UIDAI submitted that matching of biometrics, including fingerprints and iris, is done on an 1:1 basis and Aadhaar number is required for it.

8. Retail inflation fell to a one-year low of 3.31 per cent in October on the back of cheaper kitchen staples, fruits and protein-rich items. Official data released showed that the inflation based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI) was 3.7 per cent in September 2018 and 3.58 per cent in October 2017.
