1. An important initiative to enhance water management for farming and drinking between Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh is the Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project (ERCP). 1. Many developing countries and least developed countries (LDCs) have strongly supported India’s proposals at the World Trade Organisation (WTO) calling for rules on fisheries subsidies.

5. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare recently published the National Health Accounts (NHA) Estimates 2021-22, which show that out-of-pocket spending (OOPE) declined from 48.8% in 2017-18 to 39.4% of total health expenditure (THE).

About RRB Technician Recruitment

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) conducts the Examination for the position of Technician in the Indian Railways.

1. Positions:
RRB recruits for the position of Technician, who is in charge of maintaining and operating various technical aspects of the railways.

2. Eligibility Requirements:

Educational Qualification: Candidates are typically required to have completed Matriculation/SSLC and ITI (Industrial Training Institute) from recognised institutions. The specific trades may vary according to the requirements.
ii) Age limit: The minimum age is generally 18 years, while the maximum age varies by category. There may be age relaxations for candidates from reserved categories.

3. Selection Process:

The selection process usually includes:
i). Computer-Based Test (CBT): This includes multiple-choice questions on technical trades, general awareness, arithmetic, and general intelligence.
ii). Document Verification (DV): Candidates who pass the CBT are called for document verification.

4. Application Process:  Candidates can apply online through the official RRB website once the recruitment notification is released.
– The application process entails registering, filling out required information, uploading necessary documents, and paying the application fee.

5. Admission Card and Results:
– Admit cards for the computer-based test are available on the RRB website.
– The results of each stage are made available on the RRB website following the examination.

1. A significant decrease in water levels in main rivers such as the Solimoes was the result of one of the most severe droughts ever experienced in the Amazon region in 2023. The water level in the Madeira River in Porto Velho had decreased to 48 cm by September 2024, as opposed to the typical level of 332 cm. Six localities were declared states of emergency as a result of this significant transformation by the Brazilian government.
