2. At the 64th Global Environment Facility (GEF) council meeting in Brazil, the governing body approved the disbursement of USD 1.4 billion to address pressing environmental issues such as climate change, biodiversity loss, and pollution. 3. The 5th meeting of the Joint Commission on Bilateral Cooperation was held between the Indian External Affairs Minister and his counterpart from the Philippines.
