1. World Animal Day is celebrated on 4 October every year. The day aims to raise awareness about the protection of animals all over the globe.

2. As a part of World Space Week program, Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has joined hands with seven academic institutions across Karnataka to spread information and knowledge about the benefits of space science and technologies to the student community.

3. Indian Oil Research and Development Centre has constructed a 0.85 km of road with different concentrations of plastic waste at Faridabad. The move by Indian Oil aims to utilize single-use plastic waste.
इंडियन ऑईल रिसर्च अँड डेव्हलपमेंट सेंटरने फरीदाबाद येथे प्लास्टिक कचर्‍याच्या वेगवेगळ्या सांद्रतांनी 0.85 किमी लांबीचा रस्ता तयार केला आहे. इंडियन ऑईलच्या या निर्णयाचे उद्दीष्ट एकेरी वापरल्या जाणार्‍या प्लास्टिक कचर्‍याचा उपयोग करणे आहे.

4. The tenth edition of the Joint Military Exercise ‘Ekuverin’ between the Indian Army and the Maldives National Defence Force will be organised from 07 to 20 October 2019 at Aundh Military Station in Pune, Maharashtra.

8. Former India captain Kapil Dev resigned his position as Chief of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Cricket Advisory Committee.

9. Former India cricketer Roger Binny and his team swept the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) election. It was outgoing KSCA supremo Brijesh Patel swept the polls and he thus retains control of the association.

10. Vikas Kakatkar elected as President of the Maharashtra Cricket Association. Riyaz Bagban re-elected as secretary. The elections for the period from 2019-2022 were conducted by electoral officer J S Saharia, former state election commissioner, the association said.
महाराष्ट्र क्रिकेट असोसिएशनच्या अध्यक्षपदी विकास काकतकर यांची निवड झाली. रियाझ बागबान सचिवपदी पुन्हा निवडून आले. 2019- 2022 च्या कालावधीतील निवडणुका निवडणूक अधिकारी जे एस सहारिया, माजी राज्य निवडणूक आयुक्त यांनी आयोजित केल्या आहेत, असं असोसिएशनने म्हटलं आहे.
