2. Fitch retained India’s sovereign rating at ‘BBB-‘ with stable outlook. It is the lowest rating of investment grade.
रेटिंग एजन्सी फिचने स्थिर आर्थिक परिस्थितीसह ‘बीबीबी’ वर भारताचा सार्वभौम दर्जा राखला आहे. हे गुंतवणूक श्रेणीचे सर्वात कमी दर्जाचे रेटिंग आहे.

3. According to a study conducted by the Health Effects Institute, India had to face over 1.2 million deaths from air pollution in 2017.
हेल्थ इफेक्ट्स इन्स्टिट्यूटच्या एका अभ्यासानुसार, 2017 मध्ये भारतात वायू प्रदूषणापासून 1.2 दशलक्षांहून अधिक लोकांचा मृत्यू झाला होता.

5. Bank of India will sell 25.05 per cent stake in its insurance JV Star Union Dai-ichi Life Insurance Co for at least Rs 1,106 crore.

6. The board of Lakshmi Vilas Bank approved a share swap acquisition by housing finance firm Indiabulls Housing Finance. The merged entity, Indiabulls Lakshmi Vilas Bank, will be among the top eight private banks by size and profitability.
लक्ष्मी विलास बँकेच्या संचालकाने गृहनिर्माण संस्था इंडियबुल्स हाउसिंग फायनान्सद्वारे शेअर स्वॅप अधिग्रहण मंजूर केले आहे. विलीन झालेली संस्था, इंडियाबुल्स लक्ष्मी विलास बँक, आकार आणि नफा मिळवून शीर्ष आठ खाजगी बँकांपैकी एक असेल.

7. Scientists from the Centre for Cellular & Molecular Biology (CCMB), the Research Institute in Hyderabad, Telangana have discovered Murein EndopeptidiaseK, a new enzyme which helps in breaking cell walls of bacteria.  The enzyme Murein EndopeptidiaseK would act on the protein of the cell wall of the bacteria and it can be a potential drug target.
सेंटर फॉर सेल्युलर अँड आण्विक बायोलॉजी (सीसीएमबी), हैदराबाद येथील रिसर्च इन्स्टिट्यूट, तेलंगानाच्या संशोधकांनी मॉरिन एन्डोपेप्टिडायसेके नावाचा एक नवीन एंजाइम शोधला आहे जो बॅक्टेरियाच्या सेल भिंती तोडण्यास मदत करतो. एंजाइम मुरिन एन्डोपेप्टिडायसेक जी बॅक्टेरियाच्या सेल भिंतीच्या प्रथिनेवर कार्य करेल आणि हे संभाव्य औषध लक्ष्य असू शकते.

8. Vikram Kirloskar, CMD of Kirloskar Systems Ltd., and vice-chairman of Toyota Kirloskar Motor has assumed office as President of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) for 2019-20

10. Dr. Viharidas Gopaldas Patel, Padma Shri awardee and a noted economist, passed away. He was 79. He was also known as the ‘Father of Entrepreneurship Movement’.
पद्मश्री पुरस्कार विजेते आणि एक प्रसिद्ध अर्थशास्त्रज्ञ, डॉ. विधीदास गोपालदास पटेल यांचे निधन झाले. ते  79 वर्षांचे होते. त्यांना ‘उद्योजकता आंदोलनाचा पिता’ म्हणूनही ओळखले जात असे.
