1. India’s trade imbalance surged by 87.5 percent to $192.41 billion in 2021-22.

2. In India, the current ratio of nurses per 1000 population stands at 1.96:1000. This was reported to the Rajya Sabha by the Union Health ministry.

3. The Lok Sabha has passed the Weapons of Mass Destruction and their Delivery Systems (Prohibition of Unlawful Activities) Amendment Bill, 2022. The Bill has been passed to amend the Weapons of Mass Destruction and their Delivery Systems (Prohibition of Unlawful Activities) Act, 2005.
लोकसभेने वेपन्स ऑफ मास डिस्ट्रक्शन आणि त्यांची डिलिव्हरी सिस्टीम (बेकायदेशीर क्रियाकलाप प्रतिबंध) दुरुस्ती विधेयक, 2022 मंजूर केले आहे. हे विधेयक सामूहिक विनाशाची शस्त्रे आणि त्यांच्या वितरण प्रणाली (बेकायदेशीर क्रियाकलापांना प्रतिबंध) कायदा, 2005 मध्ये सुधारणा करण्यासाठी मंजूर करण्यात आले आहे.

4. The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) and the World Bank will be providing a Rs 7,500 crore loan for the government of Gujarat’s Mission School of Excellence project.

8. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has praised India’s efforts for food distribution during the COVID-19 pandemic. They said that the nation averted extreme poverty rise during this period by providing food security through the government initiative Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY).

9. Astronomers have recently discovered a planet that is a near-identical twin of Jupiter. The newly discovered twin of Jupiter is also located at a similar distance from its star as the distance between Jupiter and the Sun.
