1. The Kolkata Port has been renamed as Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Port. The Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi announced this in Kolkata on the occasion of 150th year celebrations of the Kolkata Port Trust.
कोलकाता बंदराचे नाव श्यामा प्रसाद मुखर्जी बंदर असे करण्यात आले आहे. कोलकाता पोर्ट ट्रस्टच्या 150व्या वर्धापन दिनानिमित्त पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी यांनी कोलकाता येथे ही घोषणा केली.

2. The World Future Energy Summit began at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), Abu Dhabi on 13 January 2020.
वर्ल्ड फ्यूचर एनर्जी समिट अबुधाबी राष्ट्रीय प्रदर्शन केंद्र (ADNEC), अबू धाबी येथे 13 जानेवारी 2020 रोजी सुरू झाली.

3. The National Highways Excellence Awards will be conferred by the Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Shri Nitin Gadkari in New Delhi on 14 January 2020.
राष्ट्रीय महामार्ग उत्कृष्टता पुरस्कार 14 जानेवारी 2020 रोजी नवी दिल्ली येथे केंद्रीय रस्ते वाहतूक आणि महामार्ग आणि सूक्ष्म, लघु व मध्यम उद्योग मंत्री (MSMEs) श्री नितीन गडकरी यांच्या हस्ते प्रदान करण्यात येणार आहेत.

4. Lohri day is celebrated on 13 January every year in India. Lohri is termed as the festival of farmers in Northern India. It is observed a night before Makar Sankranti.
भारतात दरवर्षी 13 जानेवारी रोजी लोहारी दिवस साजरा केला जातो. उत्तर भारतातल्या शेतकर्‍यांचा सण म्हणून लोहारी म्हणतात. मकर संक्रांतीच्या आदल्या रात्री हा साजरा केला जातो.

5. The Citizenship (Amendment) Act has come into effect from 10 January. The Centre has issued a gazette notification in this regard.
10 जानेवारीपासून नागरिकत्व (सुधारणा) कायदा अस्तित्त्वात आला आहे. या संदर्भात केंद्राने राजपत्र अधिसूचना जारी केली आहे.

6. Defence Secretary Ajay Kumar has said, the government is in the process of acquiring around 200 aircraft to cope with the depleting aerial inventories of the Indian Air Force.
संरक्षण सचिव अजय कुमार यांनी म्हटले आहे की, भारतीय हवाई दलाच्या क्षमतेच्या हवाई शोधांचा सामना करण्यासाठी सरकार सुमारे 200 विमाने अधिग्रहित करण्याच्या विचारात आहे.

8. Mohd Haitham bin Tariq al-Said took over as Sultan of Oman after the death of long-time ruler Qaboos.

9. Ishwar Sharma from the UK has been honoured with the Global Child Prodigy Award 2020. The award recognized for the achievements in spiritual discipline yoga.
यूके येथील ईश्वर शर्मा यांना ग्लोबल चाइल्ड प्रॉडीजी पुरस्कार २०२० देऊन गौरविण्यात आले आहे. अध्यात्मिक शिस्त योगामधील कामगिरीबद्दल हा पुरस्कार देण्यात आला.

10. Indian Cricketer Jasprit Bumrah is selected to receive the Polly Umrigar Award for male category for the year 2018-19. He is awarded for being the best international cricketer at the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Annual Awards.
भारतीय क्रिकेटपटू जसप्रीत बुमराहची निवड 2018-19 या वर्षासाठी पुरुष गटातील पॉली उमरीगर पुरस्कारासाठी झाली आहे. त्याला भारतीय क्रिकेट नियामक मंडळाच्या (BCCI) वार्षिक पुरस्कारामध्ये सर्वोत्कृष्ट आंतरराष्ट्रीय क्रिकेटपटू म्हणून गौरविण्यात आले आहे. मुंबई येथे होणार आहे.
