1. For the first time, the global community is observing World Chagas Disease Day, on April 14.

2. The birth anniversary of Dr.B R Ambedkar is celebrated on 14 April. The day is celebrated to honour his countless contributions in the making of independent India.
डॉ. बी. आर. आंबेडकर यांची जयंती 14 एप्रिल रोजी साजरी केली जात आहे. स्वतंत्र भारत घडविण्यात त्यांच्या अगणित योगदानाचा सन्मान करण्यासाठी हा दिवस साजरा केला जातो.

3. The Indian Army observed the 36th Siachen Day on 13 April, remembering the gallant martyrs of Siachen.
भारतीय सैन्याने 13 एप्रिल रोजी सियाचीनच्या शौर्यवान शहीदांची आठवण करून 36 वा सियाचीन दिवस साजरा केला.

4. A team at the Indian Institute of Technology of Bombay (IIT-B) has developed a “digital stethoscope” “AyuDevice”, that can listen to heart beats from a distance and record them, minimising the risk of healthcare professionals contracting the novel coronavirus from patients.
बॉम्बेच्या इंडियन इन्स्टिट्यूट ऑफ टेक्नॉलॉजी (IIT-B) च्या चमूने “डिजिटल स्टेथोस्कोप” विकसित केला आहे, ज्यामुळे दूरदूर हृदयाचे ठोके ऐकू शकतात आणि त्यांचे रेकॉर्डिंग करता येते आणि आरोग्यसेवा व्यावसायिकांचा कोरोनाव्हायरस संकलित होण्याचा धोका कमी होतो.

5. Google has launched ‘Nearby Spot’ under Google Pay using which users in Bengaluru can see local stores selling essentials like groceries that are open, amid the lockdown.
गूगलने गूगल पे अंतर्गत ‘नजीक स्पॉट’ बाजारात आणला आहे ज्याचा वापर करून बंगळुरुमधील लोकल लॉकडाऊनमध्ये खुल्या असलेल्या किराणा मालासारख्या वस्तूंची विक्री स्थानिक स्टोअरमध्ये पाहू शकतात.

6. The Centre is to pass an ordinance which will allow the state governments the flexibility to increase the work hours of employees across establishments to 12 hours per day from eight hours.
केंद्राने एक अध्यादेश काढला आहे ज्यामुळे राज्य सरकारांना आस्थापनांमधील कर्मचार्‍यांच्या कामाचे तास आठ तासांवरून दररोज 12 तासांपर्यंत वाढवण्याची सुविधा मिळेल.

7. Shri Birupaksha Mishra took charge as the Executive Director (ED) of Union Bank of India (UBI), after its amalgamation with Corporation Bank and Andhra Bank.
श्री बीरूपाक्ष मिश्रा यांनी कॉर्पोरेशन बँक आणि आंध्रा बँकेच्या एकत्रिततेनंतर युनियन बँक ऑफ इंडियाचे (UBI) कार्यकारी संचालक (ED) म्हणून कार्यभार स्वीकारला.

8. CovidGyan, a Science-based website, was launched. The website aims to bring the scientific and factual aspects of the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak onto the public domain, multi-institutional, multi-lingual science communication.
कोविडज्ञान, विज्ञान आधारित वेबसाइट सुरू केली गेली. वेबसाइट  कोविड-19 पसरण्याच्या उद्रेकातील वैज्ञानिक आणि तथ्यात्मक बाबी सार्वजनिक डोमेन, बहु-संस्थात्मक, बहुभाषिक विज्ञान संप्रेषणावर आणण्याचे उद्दीष्ट ठेवते.

9. The Government of India aims to inject Rs.1 lakh crore into villages. The move is to boost the rural economy. GoI has also announced a massive grain purchase by official agencies and direct cash transfers. It will also support the farmers if the lockdown further delayed the harvest.
गावोगावी एक लाख कोटी रुपये देण्याचे भारत सरकारचे उद्दिष्ट आहे. ही चाल ग्रामीण अर्थव्यवस्थेला चालना देण्यासाठी आहे. भारत सरकारने अधिकृत एजन्सीद्वारे मोठ्या प्रमाणात धान्य खरेदी व थेट रोख हस्तांतरणाचीही घोषणा केली आहे. लॉकडाऊनमुळे कापणीला आणखी विलंब झाल्यास हे शेतकर्‍यांना पाठिंबा देईल.

10. Veteran Army officer Lt Gen (retd) K P Dhal Samanta, who had played a valiant role in 1971 and Kargil wars, died.
1971आणि कारगिल युद्धात बलाढ्य भूमिका बजावणारे ज्येष्ठ सैन्य अधिकारी लेफ्टनंट जनरल (निवृत्त) के पी ढल सामंता यांचे निधन झाले.
