1. The Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation (MDWS) organized a seminar in Wardha district of Maharashtra. The seminar, titled “Gandhian Thoughts and Sanitation”, was centered on the Gandhian ideology on sanitation and the implementation of the same through the Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM).
पेयजल आणि स्वच्छता मंत्रालय (एमडीडब्लूएस) ने महाराष्ट्राच्या वर्धा जिल्ह्यात एक सेमीनार आयोजित केले होते. “गांधी विचार आणि स्वच्छता” या उपसंचालक, स्वच्छता मिशनच्या (एसबीएम) माध्यमातून गांधीजींच्या स्वच्छताविषयक विचारधारावर आणि त्याच कार्यान्वयनवर केंद्रित होते.

2. International Animation Day is celebrated on October 28, commemorating the day in 1892 when Charles-Emile Reynaud Theatre Optique made its first public appearance in Paris.
28 ऑक्टोबर रोजी आंतरराष्ट्रीय अॅनिमेशन डे साजरा केला जातो. 1892 मध्ये चार्ल्स-एमिले रेनूड थिएटर ऑप्टिकने पॅरिसमध्ये पहिले सार्वजनिक प्रदर्शन केले तेव्हा पासून हा दिवस साजरा केला जातो .

3. To make the younger generation more oriented towards scientific and technological innovations, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur organised a science and technology competition for students of class 8 to 10.
शास्त्रीय व तांत्रिक नवकल्पनांसाठी युवा पिढीला अधिक प्राधान्य देण्यासाठी भारतीय तंत्रज्ञान तंत्रज्ञान (आयआयटी) खरगपूरने इयत्ता 8 ते 10विद्यार्थ्यांसाठी विज्ञान व तंत्रज्ञान स्पर्धा आयोजित केली होती.

4. State Bank of India (SBI) and Hitachi Payment Services Pvt Ltd have signed a definitive agreement to enter into a joint venture for the establishment of a latest card acceptance and future ready digital payment platform for India.
स्टेट बँक ऑफ इंडिया (एसबीआय) आणि हिताची पेमेंट सर्व्हिसेस प्रा. लि. यांनी भारतासाठी नवीनतम कार्ड स्वीकृती आणि भविष्यासाठी सज्ज डिजिटल पेमेंट प्लॅटफॉर्म उभारण्यासाठी संयुक्त उपक्रमांत प्रवेश करण्याचा एक निश्चित करार केला आहे.

5. Michael D Higgins has been re-elected as Irish president after receiving 56% of the country’s election vote.
देशाच्या निवडणूक मतदानाच्या 56% प्राप्त केल्यानंतर मायकल डी हिगिन्स आयर्लंडचे राष्ट्रपती म्हणून पुन्हा निवडून आले आहेत.

6. Union Minister for Food Processing Industries Smt Harsimrat Kaur Badal inaugurated the first Mega Food Park in Gujarat.
केंद्रीय खाद्य प्रसंस्करण उद्योग मंत्री श्रीमती हरसिमरत कौर बादल यांनी गुजरातमधील पहिल्या मेगा फूड पार्कचे उद्घाटन केले.

7. The Kerala Agricultural University (KAU) has initiated a study on the farming practices of garlic followed in the hills of Kanthalloor and Vattavada areas of Idukki district of Kerala.  This move is to promote the variety Malai poondu or hill garlic that is on the verge of extinction.
विलुप्त होण्याच्या मार्गावर असलेल्या मालाई पोन्डू किंवा डोंगराळ लसणीच्या विविध प्रकारांना प्रोत्साहन देण्याकरिता  केरळ कृषी विद्यापीठ (केएयू) ने केरळच्या इडुक्की जिल्ह्यातील कंथल्लूर आणि वटवाडा परिसरात लसणीच्या शेती पद्धतींवर अभ्यास सुरू केला आहे.

8. The India Cements Ltd. (ICL), a leading cement manufacturer, has signed a deal for the acquisition of Springway Mining Private Limited.
इंडियन सिमेंट्स लिमिटेड (आयसीएल), आघाडीच्या सीमेंट निर्मात्याने स्प्रिंगवे मायनिंग प्राइवेट लिमिटेडच्या अधिग्रहणासाठी करार केला आहे.
