1. In its Agricultural Policy Monitoring and Evaluation 2024 study, the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) recently noted that India unwittingly taxed its farmers USD 120 billion in 2023, the most of any of the 54 nations.

3. The Indian Supreme Court (SC) has chastised the Union government for failing to implement comprehensive anti-trafficking laws since its 2015 pledge and for failing to create the new Organised Crime Investigative Agency (OCIA).

1. According to recent research, microplastics in the atmosphere have the potential to alter weather and climate. Penn State researchers discovered that these small particles can aid in the creation of ice in clouds. This research contributes to our knowledge of microplastics’ ubiquitous existence on Earth. Their impact on precipitation and climate patterns is mainly unclear.

2. SpaceX reached another milestone by launching the Koreasat-6A satellite. The event took held at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The mission was critical to both satellite deployment and the performance of the reusable rocket. The mission’s goal was to launch KT SAT Corp.’s Koreasat-6A into orbit. The satellite acts as a communication tool for South Korea. Approximately 35 minutes after launch, the satellite was successfully deployed into its intended orbit.

6. In 2024, India is ranked 176th in the world for protecting nature. It is one of the five worst countries out of 180, along with Kiribati (180), Turkey (179), Iraq (178), and Micronesia (177). India’s low ranking is because it doesn’t handle its land well and biodiversity is facing more dangers.

1. Recent study from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) has found a fresh approach to antibiotic resistance. The research focuses on breaking down biofilm barriers that shield disease-causing microorganisms. Bacteria secrete biofilms, which serve as strong barriers to medication penetration. This discovery has significant implications for treating infections caused by opportunistic bacteria such as Klebsiella pneumonia.

1. The Supreme Court of India (SC) recently upheld a Telangana High Court order requiring public personnel to obtain prior government approval before being prosecuted under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002.

भारताच्या सर्वोच्च न्यायालयाने (SC) अलीकडेच तेलंगणा उच्च न्यायालयाच्या आदेशावर शिक्कामोर्तब केले ज्यामध्ये सार्वजनिक कर्मचाऱ्यांना मनी लाँडरिंग प्रतिबंधक कायदा (PMLA), 2002 अंतर्गत खटला चालवण्याआधी सरकारची पूर्व परवानगी घेणे आवश्यक आहे.
