1.The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi approved the revision in the wage structure and allowances of Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) of the Department of Posts.

1.The CBI registered a case against the Principal of Pune’s National Defence Academy (NDA), a Professor, two Associate Professors and others in selection and appointment of the institute’s faculty. It is alleged that certain faculty members entered into a conspiracy with unknown officials, including those of UPSC and Defence Ministry, and got selected and appointed in different posts of teaching faculty without possessing mandatory teaching or research experience.
सीबीआयने पुण्यातील राष्ट्रीय संरक्षण प्रबोधिनी (एनडीए), प्राध्यापक, दोन एसोसिएट प्रोफेसर आणि इतर संस्थेत प्राध्यापक यांच्याविरोधात तक्रार दाखल केली आहे. असा आरोप आहे की काही विशिष्ट शिक्षकांनी अज्ञात अधिकाऱ्यांसह युपीएससी आणि संरक्षण मंत्रालयाचाही सहभाग घेतला होता आणि शिक्षणाच्या प्राध्यापकांच्या वेगवेगळ्या पदामध्ये अनिवार्य शिक्षण किंवा संशोधन अनुभव न घेता निवडून त्यांची नियुक्ती केली.

2. The World Bank approved a whopping amount of Rs.6000 crore to Atal Bhujal Yojana (ABY).

3. The Election Commission of India launched it’s online RTI Portal. The portal – rti.eci.nic.in will facilitate applicants seeking information under the Right to Information Act.

1. Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) of Reserve Bank of India increased the policy Repo Rate under the liquidity adjustment facility (LAF) by 25 basis points to 6.25 percent in the Second Bi-monthly Monetary Policy Statement (2018-19).

1. According to a Save the Children’s “End of Childhood Index 2018”, India ranks 113 among 175 countries with regards to where childhood is threatened as a result of poor health, malnutrition, exclusion from education, child labor, and child marriage.
सेव्ह द चिल्ड्रन्स “एंड ऑफ चाइल्डहुड इंडेक्स 2018” चा मते, गरीब आरोग्य, कुपोषण, शिक्षणापासून वंचित, बालमजुरी आणि बालविवाह यामध्ये 175 देशांपैकी भारत 113 व्या  स्थानी आहे.

2. On June 3, 2018, the first official World Bicycle Day was celebrated. Vice-President Venkaiah Naidu flagged off a mega cycling event in New Delhi.
