1. National Cancer Awareness Day in India is observed on 7th November to spread awareness around the types of cancer, need for early detection, and important lifestyle changes.
कर्करोगाचे प्रकार, लवकर ओळखण्याची गरज आणि जीवनशैलीतील महत्त्वपूर्ण बदलांबद्दल जागरूकता पसरवण्यासाठी भारतात 7 नोव्हेंबर रोजी राष्ट्रीय कर्करोग जागरूकता दिवस साजरा केला जातो.

2. The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur has reportedly developed a potential solution to address the problem of air pollution in Delhi and its neighbouring regions.They propose the use of “artificial rains” through cloud seeding to help clear pollutants and dust from the air.
इंडियन इन्स्टिटय़ूट ऑफ टेक्नॉलॉजी (IIT) कानपूरने दिल्ली आणि त्याच्या शेजारच्या प्रदेशातील वायू प्रदूषणाच्या समस्येचे निराकरण करण्यासाठी संभाव्य उपाय विकसित केला आहे. त्यांनी हवेतील प्रदूषक आणि धूळ साफ करण्यासाठी क्लाउड सीडिंगद्वारे “कृत्रिम पाऊस” वापरण्याचा प्रस्ताव दिला आहे. .

3. India has approved its first 100% foreign direct investment (FDI) in the defence sector, permitting Sweden’s Saab to establish a facility for rocket manufacturing. The FDI proposal, valued at less than Rs 500 crore, was given the green light last month, according to an ET report.
भारताने स्वीडनच्या साबला रॉकेट निर्मितीसाठी एक सुविधा स्थापन करण्याची परवानगी देऊन संरक्षण क्षेत्रात आपली पहिली 100% थेट विदेशी गुंतवणूक (FDI) मंजूर केली आहे. ET च्या अहवालानुसार, 500 कोटी रुपयांपेक्षा कमी मूल्याच्या FDI प्रस्तावाला गेल्या महिन्यात हिरवा कंदील देण्यात आला होता.

4. Sri Lanka’s Angelo Mathews was given “timed out” in a World Cup clash against Bangladesh, becoming the first man to suffer in the 146-year history of international cricket. The former captain took more than two minutes to take strike and opposition skipper Shakib Al Hasan appealed, which was upheld by the on-field umpire.

1. The International Day for Preventing the Exploitation of the Environment in War and Armed Conflict is a global day observed on November 6 every year.
युद्ध आणि सशस्त्र संघर्षातील पर्यावरणाचे शोषण रोखण्यासाठी आंतरराष्ट्रीय दिवस दरवर्षी 6 नोव्हेंबर रोजी साजरा केला जातो.

2. Recently, China has started polling 1.4 million people in a survey on population changes, as authorities struggle to incentivise people to have more children amid a declining birth rate and the first population drop in more than six decades.

4. Collins Dictionary has named “AI” as its word of the year, defining it as an “abbreviation for artificial intelligence: the modelling of human mental functions by computer programs.”

5. The First Australia India Education and Skill Council (AIESC) meeting is being held at IIT Gandhinagar,Gujarat.
AIESC is a bi-national body established in 2011 to guide the strategic direction of the education and research partnerships between the two countries.

6. Bangladesh will host the 24th Asian Archery Championships in 2025 after winning votes in the bid at the World Archery Asia Congress held in Bangkok, Thailand.
A total of twenty four member countries of the Asian continent participated in the congress.
बँकॉक, थायलंड येथे झालेल्या जागतिक तिरंदाजी आशिया काँग्रेसमध्ये बोलीमध्ये मते जिंकल्यानंतर बांगलादेश 2025 मध्ये 24 व्या आशियाई तिरंदाजी स्पर्धेचे आयोजन करेल. काँग्रेसमध्ये आशिया खंडातील एकूण २४ सदस्य देश सहभागी झाले होते.

7. As per the latest edition of Adaptation Gap Report, 2023 released by UN Environment Programme, developing countries, together, need at least USD 215 billion every year this decade to carry out meaningful adaptation work. In 2021, just about USD 21 billion went to developing countries for adaptation projects, which was down about 15% from the previous years.

1. According to the United Nations’ International Organization for Migration (IOM), approximately one billion people worldwide lack legal identity.
