6. The most profound blue hole ever identified was identified by scientists as the Taam Ja’ Blue Hole (TJBH), which is situated in Chetumal Bay, Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico. The depth of the TJBH has been determined to be a minimum of 1,380 feet (420 metres) below sea level, surpassing by 390 feet (119 metres) the previous record holder, the Sansha Yongle Blue Hole (also known as the Dragon Hole) in the South China Sea. The fact that scientists have yet to penetrate to the bottom of the TJBH indicates that it may be even deeper.

1. Doordarshan (DD), the national broadcaster, has modified the hue of its iconic flagship emblem from red to saffron.
Political parties have accused the public broadcaster of deliberately choosing a hue that is strongly linked to the ruling political party, particularly because this change was done during the ongoing election process. DD stated that the alteration was solely related to the cosmetic appearance.

The idea of pulling out was reaffirmed when U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Kurt Campbel.

5. Scientists have found that the Ross Ice Shelf in Antarctica, which is about the size of France, moves by 6 to 8 centimetres all of a sudden once or twice a day. The Whillans Ice Stream causes these moves. It is a fast-moving river of ice that gets stuck sometimes and then pushes forward. The finding shows a part of ice shelf dynamics that was not known before. It also makes people worry about the Ross Ice Shelf’s long-term security in the face of climate change.

6. The World Health Organisation (WHO) recently gave the green light to Euvichol-S, a new oral cholera vaccine made in South Korea by EuBiologics Co., Ltd. The new vaccine works about the same as older cholera vaccines, but its makeup is simpler, which makes it easier to make and cheaper.
