About SBI PO Recruitment

The State Bank of India (SBI) conducts recruitment for the position of Probationary Officer (PO) on a regular basis. Here is some general information about SBI PO recruitment:

1. Eligibility Criteria

(I) Nationality: Candidates must be Indian citizens.

(II) Age Limit: Candidates should be between 21 and 30 years of age as of the specified date mentioned in the official notification. Age relaxation is provided for candidates belonging to reserved categories.

2. Selection Process:

The selection process for SBI PO recruitment consists of three phases:

(I) Preliminary Examination: This is the first stage of the selection process and consists of objective-type questions in English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability. It serves as a screening test, and candidates who qualify are eligible to appear for the Main Examination.

(II) Main Examination: The Main Examination is the second stage and consists of two parts: Objective Test and Descriptive Test. The Objective Test includes sections like Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, Data Analysis & Interpretation, General/Economy/Banking Awareness, and English Language. The Descriptive Test assesses candidates’ letter writing and essay writing skills.

(III) Group Discussion and Interview: Candidates who clear the Main Examination are called for a Group Discussion (GD) and Interview. The GD is usually based on current topics, and the interview assesses the candidate’s suitability for the role of a Probationary Officer.

3. Application Process:

Interested candidates can apply for SBI PO recruitment online through the official SBI website. The application process typically opens a few weeks before the examination.
