| 1. An investment plan to upgrade Delhi’s transportation system was unveiled by Nitin Gadkari, the Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways. In addition to the ₹1,200 crore from the CRIF fund, the government would also contribute ₹12,500 crore. This declaration, which comes as Delhi’s elections are approaching, highlights how urgent it is to fix the city’s pollution and traffic problems. The national capital’s air quality would be improved and traffic congestion will be lessened according to Gadkari’s ideas.

| 2. To improve the precision of factory-gate inflation measurements, the Indian government formed a committee to revise the Wholesale Price Index (WPI) base year. Since the last update in 2011–12, the economy has undergone fundamental changes, which are reflected in this project. The 18-member team, which is chaired by NITI Aayog’s Ramesh Chand, is entrusted with providing recommendations on moving the base year to 2022–2023. It is anticipated that this action will enhance the calculation of inflation-adjusted economic production.

| 1. India has made a big step toward getting better at research and development with the start of the One Nation One Subscription (ONOS) scheme. | 2. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has implemented guidelines for lenders with respect to their participation in the Government Debt Relief Scheme (DRS). The objective of this initiative is to provide support to debtors, notably farmers, during periods of crisis, such as natural disasters. Various DRS have been announced by state administrations to provide relief, particularly in the lead-up to elections. A model operating procedure (MOP) is incorporated into the RBI’s guidelines to guarantee the effective implementation and adherence to financial discipline.

| 1. A new project has been started by scientists to find high-energy neutrinos, which are sometimes called “ghost particles,” below the Mediterranean Sea. The Cubic Kilometre Neutrino Telescope (KM3NeT), which is part of this project, has two lenses. One device looks at neutrinos that come from space, and the other looks at neutrinos that come from the atmosphere. This new method is similar to the IceCube Neutrino Observatory, which is located under the ice in Antarctica.
