1. An estimate made by the Ministry of Defence (MoD) said that India is expecting at a three-fold jump, around Rs.35,000 crore, in its defence exports by 2024. The announcement about the estimate was made by Army Chief Gen Bipin Rawat at an event of the Indigenous Defence Equipment Exporters Association held at New Delhi.

8. Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) became the first Indian company to cross the Rs.9 lakh crore of market capitalization (m-cap). It is followed by Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) with a market capitalization of Rs.7,69,483 crore as its shares were trading up 1% at Rs.2050.70.

1. The Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying released the 20th Livestock Census -2019. India’s livestock population has increased to over 535 million showing an increase of 4.6 per cent over Livestock Census-2012.

5. Maharashtra State Assembly Elections board extended intelligence (artificial and human intelligence)-powered tech firm, to detect and prevent the spread of fake news. The company helps detects fake news, logical fallacy, and inaccuracies. It has been monitoring various social media platforms for 20 days to monitor cases of violation under the Model Code of Conduct (MCC).

3. State Bank of India decided to charge processing fees for home loans, top-up plans, and loans to corporates and real estate companies.
